Business and Investment Visas

The objectives of the Business Innovation and Investment Program and Business Talent Program are to encourage entrepreneurs and investors to come to Australia to make positive impact on the Australian economy.

The Business and Investment visas aim to attract the brightest high-net-worth individuals with successful business or investment experience. Due to diverse backgrounds the visa applicants may come from, the Business and Investment visas are particularly complex, which require careful planning and preparation.

At WeLand Migration, we adopt a special approach to dealing with various Business and Investment visas, which starts with a thorough and confidential consultation with our clients. We lead our clients in each stage of their visa applications and help them to achieve their desired outcomes in a most cost-effective way. Due to the significant time and money potentially spent in investing or setting up businesses in Australia, you are strongly advised to book a consultation with our visa experts who have both immigration expertise and commercial acumen to make a bespoke strategy for you and your family by taking into your individual circumstances.

Employer Sponsored Visas

The Employer Sponsored Visa scheme enables Australian employers to sponsor overseas workers to fill positions in their businesses where they are unable to source skilled labour from the local employment market. This is one of the key visa programs that the Australian government intends to promote, as it can assist the local business to hire skilled workers from overseas and solve the issue of the Australian workforce shortage.

The Employer Sponsored Visa scheme is highly complex which consists of multiple visa categories, such as Subclass 482, 186 and 494 etc.. In addition, it also requires both the employer and employee/nominee to meet their own visa requirements. Due to its complexity, you need to consult an experienced migration law expert at our team for a full assessment of your eligibility for this visa program.

AAT and Merits Review

If you receive a negative decision for a visa application, it is not the end of the world and please do not panic. You may have the right to apply for merits review at the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (“AAT”). The AAT will look at the application afresh and will reconsider the facts, law and policy aspects relevant to the original decision. If the AAT comes to a conclusion that the original decision is incorrect, it will either set aside the original decision and replace it with a new decision, or remit the decision to the Department of Home Affairs with recommendations for making a new decision.

With insightful knowledge and practical experience in dealing with the ATT, WeLand Migration has assisted many visa applicants in getting their original adverse decisions set aside or even reversed.
